Android Things, an Internet of Things (IoT) variant of Google’s Android operating system, facilitates the deployment of intelligence at the edge of IoT and sensor networks. It addresses the vexing challenge of managing and securing large numbers of deployed devices. Additionally, it seamlessly integrates with Google Cloud Platform and Google Cloud IoT. Of particular interest, SensorFlow, open source software that supports machine learning and computer vision applications, can easily be employed in Android Things devices.
