SW1: IIoT Sensors Applied to Electrical System Availability and Worker Safety
This session discusses how non-contact IIoT technology can be applied to electrical assets and as wearable alerts for continuous monitoring of electrical equipment and insulation deterioration and breakdown. The analytics provided enable predictive maintenance early in the failure cycle improving availability of power systems and worker safety through awareness of electrical partial discharge issues. The technology offering these achievements will be discussed and deployment strategies of the non-contact sensors and wireless networks will be reviewed.

SW2: Creating a New Cocktail for the Supply Chain: RFID, LPWAN, and Blockchain
Goods, such as food and perishables, involve multiple organizations as they move through the supply chain. Cost effectively collecting and sharing the data across these organizations has been the Achilles heel. This session combines three technologies – RFID, LPWAN and Blockchain – to extend the sensor's battery life, to collect the sensor data efficiently, and to store and share the data securely. A demonstration of concept will be shown.
